We are located in the Valleyview Bible Church, at 908 N Main Street, Cimarron, Kansas.

No, we are not affiliated with the Valleyview Bible Church. We are an independent, non-denominational private Christian school. We rent rooms in the Valleyview Bible Church.

We are targeting a launch for the 2025-2026 school year.

Annual tuition is $4,800 per student, or $2,400 annually per student for the hybrid option, paid on a monthly plan. This includes all tuition costs. There are no additional fees.

By utilizing the Kansas Low Income Students Scholarship program, you can reduce this cost by 75% to $1200/year ($600/year hybrid).

We will offer a five-day schedule with a two-day hybrid option.

We are targeting pre-Kindergarten through fifth grade.

The good news is that Desert Flower Academy is participating in the Kansas Tax Credit for Low Income Students Scholarship Program, which provides considerable financial support for qualifying families.

Here’s how the program can help make education at our academy more affordable for your child:

**Tax Credits for Donations**: Generous donors can receive a tax credit for 75% of their contributions. This support translates into scholarships for our students.

**Scholarships Available**: If your family's income falls within 250% of the federal poverty guidelines, your child could receive a scholarship up to $8,000, which covers well beyond the anticipated tuition.

**Contribution Process**: Donations are made to an accredited Student Grant Organization (SGO) which then channels these funds to us, directly benefiting students like yours.

**Student Eligibility**: The program is currently available for students who were enrolled in public school the previous year or are younger than 6 years old, from Kindergarten through 8th grade.

Looking ahead, there are proposals to expand the benefits of this program:

**School Vouchers**: Potential plans to apply $5,100 from public education funding toward private education.

**Increased Tax Credits**: There are discussions to increase the tax credit up to 100% of the donation amount.

Finally, give. We need volunteers to help with classroom activities. And we need generous donors who can donate classrooms supplies or help support students who can't afford tuition.

Yes! While Desert Flower Academy does not currently offer its own athletic programs, there are several opportunities for our students to participate in sports:

1. Kansas Law Participation: Under Kan. Stat. § 72-3120(h)(1) and Kan. Stat. § 72-7121, students enrolled in non-accredited private schools, like Desert Flower Academy, are eligible to participate in public school athletics through part-time enrollment in their local school district, provided they meet the district's requirements.
2. Local Homeschool PE Class: We also utilize a homeschool PE class that meets weekly at Valleyview Church, offering a regular physical activity option for our students.
3. Rec Center Sports: The Gray Couny Rec Center offers both fall and spring sports for students from kindergarten and up.
